Picciuto Earns 3rd ECAC DIII South Women's Lacrosse Offensive Athlete of the Week Honor

DANBURY, Conn. --- Moravian College freshman midfielder/attack Jillian Picciuto has been named the ECAC Division III South Women's Lacrosse Offensive Athlete of the Week for the third time this season.

Picciuto led Moravian in scoring last week with 11 goals and four assists for 15 points as she set the school record for points in a season with 88, and extended her single season and career school records for assists to 34. Picciuto added nine draw controls, two ground balls and two caused turnovers during the week. She had six goals, three assists and five draw controls in a 20-13 loss at the United States Merchant Marine Academy, and Picciuto added five goals, an assist, four draw controls and two ground balls in a 17-12 loss to Drew University.

"Jillian has continued to contribute on the attacking end with 15 points in two games," stated Head Coach Kristen Schuster. "She has definitely settled into her role as a playmaker and the recognition she's received this season is outstanding. One of Jillian's most admirable qualities as an athlete is her selflessness. Her focus this season has not been on individual stats or goals. She is here for the team first and her assist records are a direct reflection of her character."

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, April 27 when the Greyhounds host Neumann University in a non-conference match beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Rocco Calvo Field.
