LaCava Named Landmark Conference Women's Lacrosse Defensive Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College sophomore defender Jacqueline LaCava has been named the Landmark Conference Women's Lacrosse Defensive Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.

LaCava helped the Greyhounds to a 1-1 record for the week as she recorded seven ground balls and five caused turnovers. She had three ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers in a 20-10 win at SUNY Purchase, and LaCava added four ground balls and three caused turnovers in a 20-9 loss to The University of Scranton in Landmark Conference action.

"We're thrilled to see Jackie get player of the week recognition," stated Head Coach Kristen Nicholson. "She has been all over ground balls this past week and coming up big with caused turnovers when it counts. We're looking forward to our next conference game and seeing what she does against Drew."

Moravian, which is 6-4 on the season, is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, April 15 when the squad hosts Drew University in a Landmark Conference contest beginning at 1:00 p.m. on John Makuvek Field.
