Meaghan McMullan '21 honored as Landmark Conference Women's Lacrosse Offensive Athlete of the Week.

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College freshman Meaghan McMullan has been honored as the Landmark Conference Women's Lacrosse Offensive Athlete of the Week for her performance over the last seven days.

McMullan helped Moravian to a 2-0 record last week as the Greyhounds played their first two home matches of the season, winning by a combined score of 39-11. McMullan had eight goals, an assist, eight ground balls, 19 draw controls and seven caused turnovers during the week. She was also 4-for-4 on free position shots and put 13 of her 19 shots on goal during the week. McMullan had four goals, five ground balls, four draw controls and four caused turnovers in a 19-2 win over Southern Vermont College, and she added four goals, an assist, three ground balls, three draw controls and a school-record 15 draw controls in a 20-9 victory over Widener University.

"I'm thrilled to see Meaghan receiving conference recognition after she had outstanding performances in both of our games last week," commented Head Coach Kristen Nicholson. "She's continuing to grow as an athlete and stepping up to the challenge as a young player. Having her break our draw controls record this past Saturday was amazing to watch, she was truly dominant on the draw circle. I fully anticipate many more moments like this in Meaghan's future as a Greyhound."

Moravian is slated to return to action on Wednesday, March 21 in a non-conference match at Gwynedd Mercy University beginning at 7:00 p.m.
