FARMINGDALE, N.Y. --- The Moravian College women's lacrosse team jumped out to a 13-0 first half lead and went on to defeat host SUNY Old Westbury, 19-1, in non-conference action Tuesday evening in a match played at Farmingdale College due to field conditions as the Greyhounds extended their program-best winning streak to seven matches.

The Hounds, now 8-1 on the season, scored more than 17 goals for the seventh consecutive contest, and Moravian has 17 or more tallies in all eight of its victories this spring. Freshman midfielder Meaghan McMullan netted seven goals to lead the Blue & Grey, and she added eight draw controls, six caused turnovers and five ground balls. Sophomore midfielder Liz Bill became the seventh player in school history to reach 100 career points, and she had seven points on five goals and two assists to go with four ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers. Bill now has 104 points in just 24 career matches with 89 goals and 15 assists.

Senior attack Kyleigh McGovern and freshman attack Danielle Sullivan each had a pair of goals while junior attack Jillian Picciuto added a goal, three assists and four ground balls. Junior attack Dalia Aguilar contributed a goal and an assist while junior attack Jessica Pisano netted one goal.

The Greyhounds used all three goalies in the contest with junior Kelley Gavin starting and making one save in 36 minutes of action. Freshman goalie Courtney Heist played 14 minutes while senior Elisabeth Pontius had two saves in the final 10 minutes of the contest. Sophomore midfielder Allie Fisher had six ground balls and five caused turnovers while senior midfielder Alexis Kersten added five caused turnovers and four ground balls and freshman midfielder Olivia Clearie had four caused turnovers.

Bill gave Moravian the lead for good just 26 seconds into the match, and when she scored on an eight-meter shot with 11:50 left in the first half for her 100th career point, Bill made it an 8-0 advantage. The Greyhounds would lead 13-0 at halftime and score the first goal of the second half before Old Westbury scored with just under 21 minutes to play. The Blue and Grey netted five more goals before the end of the contest.

The Hounds are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, April 7 when the squad hosts The University of Scranton in a Landmark Conference match beginning at 1:00 p.m. on John Makuvek Field in Bethlehem.
