GRAND LAKE, Col. --- The Moravian College women's lacrosse team is one of 339 programs across NCAA Division I, II, III and the NAIA to be named as an Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad for the 2017-18 academic year while rising senior goalie Kelley Gavin was selected to the IWLCA Zag Sports Division III Academic Honor Roll.

For a team to qualify for IWLCA Academic Honor Squad honors, the women's lacrosse squad must have posted a 3.0 or higher team GPA for the academic year. The Greyhounds joined the other seven Landmark Conference schools on the list.

Gavin, who is majoring in physical therapy at Moravian, earned a spot on the IWLCA Zag Sports Division III Academic Honor Roll with a cumulative GPA over 3.50. Honorees must be juniors, seniors or graduate students, and the Division III Academic Honor Roll included 639 student-athletes from 189 schools including 31 from the eight Landmark Conference institutions. Gavin posted an 11.25 goals-against average with 96 saves and a 10-5 record while helping the Greyhounds to a 11-5 record this past spring and the program's first-ever Landmark Conference Tournament berth.
