Gavin Named to IWLCA Academic Honor Roll & Greyhounds Selected as Academic Honor Squad

Goalie Kelley Gavin Named to Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Division III Academic Honor Roll while Hounds Earn Academic Honor Squad Accolades.

GRAND LAKE, Col. --- The Moravian College women's lacrosse squad is one of 312 programs across NCAA Division I, II, III and the NAIA to be named as an Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad for the 2018-19 academic year while senior goalie Kelley Gavin was selected to the IWLCA Zag Sports Division III Academic Honor Roll.

For a team to qualify for IWLCA Academic Honor Squad honors, the women's lacrosse squad must have posted a 3.0 or higher team GPA for the academic year. The Greyhounds joined five other Landmark Conference schools on the list.

Gavin, who graduated with a degree in public health/health administration at Moravian, garnered a spot on the IWLCA Zag Sports Division III Academic Honor Roll with a cumulative GPA over 3.50. Honorees must be juniors, seniors or graduate students, and the Division III Academic Honor Roll included 653 student-athletes from 173 schools including 25 from Landmark Conference institutions. Gavin posted a 15.29 goals-against average with 133 saves and an 8-5 record while helping the Greyhounds to a 12-6 record this past spring and the program's second straight Landmark Conference Semifinal appearance.
