Liz Bill and Olivia Clearie selected as Landmark Conference Women's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week.

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College senior attack Liz Bill and junior defender Olivia Clearie have been selected as the Landmark Conference Women's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Athlete of the Week for their performances last week.

Bill had a strong start to the season with eight points on seven goals and an assist in Moravian's 20-15 loss at Haverford College to begin the 2020 season. Bill also had 11 draw controls and went 4-for-4 on free position shots, shooting 80% overall for the match.

Clearie led the Greyhounds defensively at Haverford with eight ground balls, five caused turnovers and a ground ball.

"I'm so proud to see Liz and Liv being honored with player of the week after their performances this weekend in our opener," noted Head Coach Kristen Nicholson. "Although we didn't come away with the win, they were both instrumental for us to compete against a team of this caliber to open our 2020 season. We have high expectations for each of them this year and they're starting off on a great note."

Moravian is slated to begin its 2020 home season on Wednesday, February 26 when the squad hosts Arcadia University in a non-conference contest beginning at 4:00 p.m. on John Makuvek Field.
