Greyhounds Fall to Haverford, 3-0

The Moravian College women's soccer team fell to Haverford College Tuesday afternoon, 3-0.

The Greyhounds battled to a 0-0 tie with the Fords in the first half of play. Senior midfielder Jenna Stickle had a chance to take the lead with four minutes left in the half, but her shot was saved by Haverford goalie Robin Chernow.

Sophomore forward Meg Boyer for the Fords netted the first goal of the game in the 51st minute. Haverford would extend that lead two minutes later to 2-0 with a goal from junior midfielder Allie Chen. Chen would then net another goal to put Haverford up 3-0. Moravian would try to battle back, but Haverford would walk away with the victory.

Sophomore goalkeeper Genevieve Chaleff tallied one save in the contest.

The Greyhounds return to action Thursday, October 13 when they host rival Muhlenberg College in a Matte Award Match. The contest is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. at the HUB Quad.
