Lamplugh & Pavia Selected as Women's Soccer Captains for 2015

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's soccer team has named seniors Catherine Lamplugh and Melissa Pavia as the squad's captains for the 2015 season.

"Both Melissa and Catherine display the leadership qualities that will help develop our young team," commented Head Coach Jeff Ykoruk, who is entering his second season at Moravian. "I can honestly say that our 13 first year players have two outstanding student/athletes to look up to."

Lamplugh, a midfielder, has netted five goals and added a pair of assists in 58 career matches including 56 starts with the Greyhounds. Two of Lamplugh's goals have been game-winners, and she netted a career high four goals as a freshman in 2012. Lamplugh has been a member of the Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll each of the last two seasons.

Pavia, a midfielder and forward, is in her second year as a captain for the Hounds. In 50 career matches, Pavia has six goals and five assists, and he has two game-winning goals in 45 career starts. Pavia has also been on the Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll the last two years.

Moravian will begin its 2015 season on Tuesday, September 1 when the squad heads to Arcadia University for a non-conference match starting at 4:00 p.m.
