Women's Soccer Ties with Scranton to Keep Playoff Hopes Alive

SCRANTON, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's soccer team played 110 minutes of scoreless action to earn a 0-0, double-overtime tie with the University of Scranton in Landmark Conference action Saturday afternoon.

Leading the team was senior goalie Jacqueline Zalis, who made six saves over the course of the game to keep it scoreless. Zalis' six saves bring her season total to 59 saves, and the shutout was her fifth of the season and ninth of her career.

The Hounds lone shot came from senior midfielder Taylor Blake, who put her shot just wide of the net.

With the tie versus the Royals, the Greyhounds can clinch a berth in the Landmark Conference tournament with a win versus Drew University on October 31.

Next on the schedule for the Blue and Grey is the Matte Award match with rival Muhlenberg College on Tuesday, October 27 at 3:30 p.m. on the HUB Quad.
