Stelzmiller Selected to NSCAA All-Mid-Atlantic Region Third Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. --- Moravian College sophomore forward Gabby Stelzmiller has been selected to the 2016 National Soccer Coaches Association of America Division III All-Mid-Atlantic Region Third Team.

Stelzmiller helped the Greyhounds post a 10-7-1 overall record for the 2016 season with the Hounds reaching the Landmark Conference Tournament for the second consecutive fall. Moravian earned the second seed in the tournament and posted a 4-3 double-overtime victory over third seed The Catholic University of America in the semifinals. The Blue and Grey ended the campaign with a 2-0 loss to top seed The University of Scranton in the Landmark Conference Championship match.

Stelzmiller, who was named to the Landmark All-Conference First Team, led Moravian in scoring this fall with 11 goals and three assists for 25 points. She added three game-winning goals and had a pair of hat tricks; one in Head Coach Jeff Ykoruk's 100th career collegiate victory on October 5 and the other in the Landmark Conference Semifinal win over Catholic. Stelzmiller has 11 goals and five assists in her two years at Moravian.

"I'm very happy for Gabby to be named to an All-Region team," stated Ykoruk. "She deserves the honor and worked very hard in the offseason for this to happen. She is our second forward in three seasons to be selected to an All-Region team. We look forward to her next two seasons and her continued development."

Stelzmiller is the 11th Greyhound to earn NSCAA All-Mid-Atlantic Region honors, and the program has had a total of 17 All-Region selections. Stelzmiller is also one of six student-athletes from the Landmark Conference to be named to the All-Region Teams this fall.
