Bertucci Selected to United Soccer Coaches All-Mid-Atlantic Region Second Team

Lauren Bertucci '18 has been selected to the 2017 United States Coaches NCAA Division III Women's Soccer All-Mid-Atlantic Region Second Team.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. --- Moravian College senior defender Lauren Bertucci has been selected to the 2017 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Women's Soccer All-Mid-Atlantic Region Second Team.

"Lauren is very deserving of making an All-Region team," commented Head Coach Jeff Ykoruk. "She has worked so hard in her four years and I'm very excited she has been rewarded for it. She has been one of the top defenders in the conference for the last few years and played a major role in our program finishing top 10 in the country for goal against average. We as a program are excited to have her be the third player in the last four season to be named to an All-Region team and she truly belongs in that group."

Bertucci was selected as the 2017 Landmark Conference Defensive Player of the Year after helping the Greyhounds to a 9-6-1 record and just six goals allowed this past fall. Bertucci also earned a spot on the Landmark All-Conference Team for the fourth straight season and her second consecutive spot on the First Team after being on the Second Team as a freshman and sophomore. This season, Bertucci had one goal that was a game-winner, and she completed her career with three goals and an assist for seven points in 63 career matches including a pair of game-winning goals.

In addition to her on-field honors, Bertucci has been selected as the 2017 Landmark Conference Senior Scholar-Athlete for Women's Soccer, to the Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll and to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team.
