Women's Soccer Opens 2018 Campaign with Three-Match Road Trip

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's soccer squad is set to begin the 2018 season with a three-match road trip starting on August 31.

The Greyhounds head to Cortland State University on Friday, August 31 for a 7:00 p.m. contest followed by matches at Bryn Mawr College in September 2 and at Stockton (N.J.) University on September 5. The Blue and Grey will open their home slate on Saturday, September 8 versus Alvernia University at 11:00 a.m. on John Makuvek Field followed by a match versus The College of New Jersey on Sunday, September 9 at 7:00 p.m. also in Bethlehem.

The Hounds head back on the road for a trip to rival Muhlenberg College on September 12 before hosting Keystone College on September 15 under the lights at Makuvek Field. After a trip to Albright College on September 19, Moravian will open its 2018 Landmark Conference schedule on Saturday, September 22 at Juniata College with the women playing the second match of the conference doubleheaders this fall.

The Greyhounds open a four-match home stretch on Wednesday, September 26 with a non-conference match with Stevenson (Md.) University. The Blue and Grey then play three consecutive Landmark Conference contests with Susquehanna University on September 29, The University of Scranton on October 6 and Elizabethtown College on October 10. After a trip to Drew University on October 13, the Hounds will host Marywood University on October 16 for the final non-conference match of the year. Moravian will close out the regular season versus The Catholic University of America on October 20 before a trip to Goucher College on October 27.

The Hounds look to qualify for the Landmark Conference Tournament which begins with the semifinals on Tuesday, October 30 with the finals on Saturday, November 3 at the highest remaining seed.
