Women's Soccer Drops Hard-Fought Match to Susquehanna in Landmark Conference Action

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's soccer team suffered its first setback of the 2018 Landmark Conference season, falling to Susquehanna University, 1-0, on John Makuvek Field Saturday afternoon.

The River Hawks would break a scoreless tie in the 67th minute when they put a rebound into the back of the net. The Greyhounds best chance to tie the match came in the 79th minute on a shot on goal by senior forward Gabby Stelzmiller.

Hounds sophomore goalie Siobhan O'Sullivan-Evangelista played the first half of the match and returned for the final 16 minutes, recording two saves. Junior keeper Jamie Daly played the first 29 minutes of the second half with one stop.

Moravian is slated to return to action on Saturday, October 6 in a Landmark Conference match versus The University of Scranton beginning at 4:00 p.m. on John Makuvek Field.
