SCRANTON, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's soccer team saw its 2018 season come to an end in the Landmark Conference Semifinals and the fourth seeded Greyhounds fell to top seed The University of Scranton, 2-0, at Weiss Field in Scranton Wednesday evening.

The Royals would take a 1-0 lead in the 19th minute on a header off of a crossing pass, and Scranton doubled its lead seven minutes later on another header. The Royals maintained their 2-0 lead through the rest of the first half.

The Greyhounds' best chance to score in the match came in the 69th minute when freshman forward Megan Chesney headed a free kick towards the upper right corner of the net that needed a diving save to keep it from going in.

Scranton had an opportunity to extend its lead in the 75th minute on a penalty kick but the initial shot hit the post and Moravian sophomore goalie Siobhan O'Sullivan-Evangelista stopped the follow up shot.

O'Sullivan-Evangelista recorded five saves in the contest and also had her defense clear away a shot in the 36th minute of the first half. Moravian finishes the 2018 season with a 9-5-2 mark.
