Senior Gabby Stelzmiller named to United Soccer Coaches All-Mid-Atlantic Region Third Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. --- Moravian College senior forward Gabby Stelzmiller has been selected to the 2018 United Soccer Coaches Division III All-Mid-Atlantic Region Third Team.

Stelzmiller, who earned All-Region honors for the second time in her career with a Third Team selection in 2016, is the 12th Greyhound to earn United Soccer Coaches (formerly the National Soccer Coaches Association of America) All-Mid-Atlantic Region honors, and the program has had a total of 19 All-Region honorees. Stelzmiller is also one of nine student-athletes from the Landmark Conference to be named to the All-Region Teams this fall.

Stelzmiller helped the Greyhounds to a 9-5-2 overall mark in 2018 with the Hounds reaching the Landmark Conference Tournament for the third time in her four seasons. Stelzmiller helped Moravian to a 32-28-7 record and three postseason appearances in her career.

Stelzmiller, who was named to the Landmark All-Conference First Team for the second time in her career this fall, led Moravian in scoring this fall with 20 points on five goals and a career-high 10 assists. She also had one game-winning while taking 95 of the team's 125 corner kicks during the season. Stelzmiller finished her career with 16 goals and 18 assists for 50 career points, the 11th player in program history to reach the milestone, in 59 career matches.

"This is such a great accomplishment for Gabby," stated fifth year Head Coach Jeff Ykoruk. "Being named All-Region for the second time in her career speaks volumes to the kind of player she is. She had an amazing offseason and bounced back from a frustrating season last year. She really is a great example of what hard work is.

"The Mid-Atlantic region is one of and if not the best region in the country and we are thrilled to see Gabby achieve this," Ykoruk continued. "For our program, it's a win as well. We have placed a member of our program on this All-Region team four of the last five years."
