BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's soccer team earned its first victory of the 2022 season with a 1-0 shutout win over Penn State-Berks in non-conference action under the lights of John Makuvek Field Saturday evening.
How It Happened
- The Greyhounds would get on the scoreboard in the 37th minute as junior defender Lauren Latchford netted a goal off of a crossing pass from junior forward Lindsay Mullin
- Neither team was able to find the a goal during the rest of the match with the Nittany Lions finishing the night with a 10-8 edge in shots after taking seven attempts in the second half
Inside the Numbers
- The goal for Latchford was the first of her career while Mullin picked up her first assist
- Junior goalie Paige Harrison made the start and posted one save in the first half. Junior keeper Payce Korpics played the second half of the contest and had three saves
- Moravian had a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks on the night
