Greyhounds Rally in Second Half to Defeat Penn State Berks for First Victory of 2023

READING, Pa. --- The Moravian University women’s soccer squad netted a pair of second half goals to rally past host Penn State Berks, 2-1, in non-conference action Sunday afternoon.

READING, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's soccer squad netted a pair of second half goals to rally past host Penn State Berks, 2-1, in non-conference action Sunday afternoon.

How It Happened

  • The Nittany Lions scored on the opening shot of the match at the seven-minute mark
  • Penn State Berks maintained the lead throughout the rest of the first half
  • The Greyhounds knotted the contest in the 67th minute when senior forward Lindsay Mullin dribbled the ball down the right side of the end to the end line before cutting back towards the middle of the box and putting her shot inside the right post
  • Moravian took the lead in the 81st minute when freshman Reagan Bleiler played a ball forward to Mullin, who scored again with a shot past the right side of the keeper
