KANSAS CITY, Mo. --- Moravian University senior defender Hailey Scaff and graduate student goalie Riley Spingler have been named to the 2024 United Soccer Coaches Division III All-Region V Second Team.

The duo helped the Greyhounds post a 9-5-6 record this fall including a 3-2-4 mark in the Landmark Conference regular season to capture the sixth seed in the Landmark Conference Tournament. Moravian defeated third seed Elizabethtown College, 1-0 in double overtime, in the opening round before falling to second seed Lycoming College, 2-1, in the Semifinals.

Scaff, who was selected as the 2023 and 2024 Landmark Conference Defensive Athlete of the Year while earning a spot the Landmark All-Conference First Team for the second straight year, scored a game-winning goal this season, and she contributed an assist to give her two goals and three assists in 69 career matches. Scaff, who was a member of the 2023 USC Division III All-Region V Second Team, also anchored the Moravian defense in 2024 that recorded 13 shutouts to tie the single-season program record and allowed just 0.55 goals per match.

"Hailey's performance this season truly stood out," stated Head Coach Jeff Yokoruk. "Her ability to dominate as a central defender, combined with her exceptional vision and skill on the ball, made her a key player in defense and transitioning to midfield. Being named All-Region is a well-deserved recognition of her hard work and versatility."

Spingler, who made the Landmark All-Conference Second Team this fall, registered a 0.60 goals-against average to go with 67 saves, a 6-5-5 record and ten shutouts in 1,500 minutes of action in her first season with the Greyhounds. Spingler began her collegiate career at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and made the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Second Team and the D2CCA All-Atlantic Region Second Team in 2022.

"Riley has been an invaluable asset to our team this season," said Ykoruk. "Her leadership on and off the field was terrific, bringing a sense of composure to our defense. Beyond her excellent ability to stop shots, she has been a vocal presence, helping to organize our back four effectively. We are excited to see her hard work pay off by being named All-Region."

Scaff becomes the fifth Greyhound to receive USC (formerly NSCAA) All-Region honors twice in her career while Spingler is the 15th different Moravian student-athlete to garner All-Region accolades. Moravian has a total of 23 All-Region selections with Carli Miller '00 earning the award four times and Tracy Fitzpatrick '09 honored three times.
