SCRANTON, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's swimming squad fell to non-conference host Marywood University, 106-45 on Saturday afternoon in their final meet before the 2022 Landmark Conference Championship.
How It Happened
- Freshman Catie Lovett earned a pair of first-place finishes this afternoon. In the 50-yard freestyle, Lovett swan a of 26.94 seconds and then she recorded a time of 59.34 in the 100-yard freestyle.
- Junior Jaelyn Mitchell posted a PR time of 2:17.44 in the 200-yard freestyle for second place in her first event of the night. Mitchell followed that up by swimming a 2:43.05 in the 200-yard butterfly for another second-place finish.
- Junior Marissa Werner placed third in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 29.63
- Junior Sydney Steere recorded a PR time of 30.40 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle in her first session and then recorded a PR time of 1:08.54 in the 100-yard freestyle to finish in third place
- Freshman Sarah Mazzetti had finished the 200-yard individual medley in a time of 2:48.99, followed by a second-place performance in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 3:12.47.
- The quartet of Mitchell, Steere, Werner and Lovett concluded the meet by swimming the 400-yard freestyle relay finishing in second place in 4:19.67
- Moravian totaled 45 points in the dual meet
