Moravian Women’s Swimming Program Earns CSCAA Scholar All-America Honors for Spring 2022

2021-22 Moravian women's swimming team earns CSCAA Scholar All-America Team honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. --- The Moravian University women's swimming team has been selected by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) as a Scholar All-America Team for their academic performance this past spring.

The women posted a GPA of 3.59 to earn the honor and earned Scholar All-America honors this past fall with a 3.4 GPA. In total, 731 teams from 441 colleges and universities earned the honor. Those with a GPA of 3.3 or higher will now become eligible for the Intercollegiate Coach Association Coalition All-Sport Academic Standings.

"Once again, the Moravian women swimmers have demonstrated their commitment as a STUDENT-athletes, achieving CSCAA Scholar Academic All American Team status for the second time in our inaugural season," commented Head Coach Mary Ellen Wydan. "We are so proud of their achievement and hope to maintain the same high-level academics required to qualify for this recognition semester after semester, year after year. Congratulations to the team!"

The Greyhounds concluded their inaugural season as a varsity program competing in the 2022 Landmark Conference Championship in February at the Germantown Indoor Swim Center in Boyds, Maryland.

Greg Earhart, CSCAA Executive Director highlighted Moravian University's achievements noting, "Coach Wydan develops student-athletes both in the water and in the classroom."
