TOWSON, Md. --- The Moravian University women's swimming team recorded its first win of the 2023-24 season with a 101-79 victory over host Goucher College Saturday in a double dual meet with Susquehanna University, who defeated the Greyhounds, 149-55.
How It Happened
- Junior Catie Lovett won the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 26.53 seconds, and she was second in the 200-yard freestyle with a school record time of 2:09.94, a time that put her first in the race versus Goucher. Lovett also finished third in the 100-yard backstroke in a season-best time of 1:06.80
- Junior Lydia Devlin won the 50-yard butterfly in a school record time of 30.27 seconds in her first meet with the Greyhounds. Devlin took third in the 50-yard backstroke in a time of 32.18 seconds, and she also finished third in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:01.76
- Junior Sarah Mazzetti was the runner-up in the 200-yard individual medley in a season-best time of 2:41.16, and she placed fourth in the 50-yard breaststroke in 39.17 seconds. Mazzetti was also fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:23.94
- Freshman Mia Espinal finished third in the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 7:07.22, and she was third in the 50-yard butterfly in 42.11 seconds. Espinal placed seventh in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:43.69
- The Greyhounds' quartet finished third in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 2:11.84
