Four Women's Tennis Players Named ITA Scholar-Athletes

SKILLMAN, N.J. --- The Moravian College women's tennis team has had four student-athlete senior Katie Zien, sophomore Courtnie Lambert and freshmen Julia Atiyeh and Noel Ferraro named Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar-Athletes.

For a student-athlete to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete honors, they must maintain at least a 3.50 GPA, earn a varsity letter and be enrolled for at least two semesters. Nearly 600 NCAA Division III female student-athletes were honored.

Zien earned a spot on the 2014 Landmark All-Conference First Team in singles, and she also made the Second Team in doubles. She was also the 2014 Landmark Conference Senior Scholar-Athlete for Women's Tennis and earned a spot on the Landmark Spring All-Sportsmanship Team. Zien was 16-4 in singles with an 11-3 mark in third singles and a 6-0 slate in Landmark action. In doubles action with freshman Brittney Eady, the duo had a 17-3 record for the year with a 16-2 slate at second doubles and a 5-1 mark in the conference.

Lambert was 12-5 in singles action this past year with an 11-5 mark at sixth singles while Atiyeh was 9-6 in doubles, playing in the third slot in the order.
