Hounds Fall to Muhlenberg in Season Finale

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's tennis team closed out its 2014-15 season Thursday afternoon in its annual Matte Award contest versus rival Muhlenberg College, falling by a final score of 6-3 at Hoffman Courts to finish the season at 8-8.

The Greyhounds trailed 2-1 after the doubles action. After falling behind, 2-0, senior Sophia Osbourne and freshman Skylar Oliwa rallied for a 9-8 (7-3) win at second doubles to cut the deficit in half.

Moravian picked up two singles victories with junior Courtnie Lambert winning her fourth singles match when her opponent retired from the match, and sophomore Roberta Scantlebury posting a three-set, 6-3, 4-6, 1-0 (10-6) victory at sixth singles.
