Moravian Women Fall to Roger Williams to Begin Spring Trip in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. --- The Moravian College women's tennis squad began its Spring Break trip to the Lake Cane Tennis Center in Orlando with a 7-2 non-conference loss to Roger Williams (R.I.) University Sunday afternoon.

The Greyhounds, now 2-2 on the season, trail 2-1 after doubles action with the team of junior Brittney Eady and sophomore Skylar Oliwa posted an 8-5 win at first doubles. Juniors Aisling Doyle and Roberta Scantlebury nearly gave Moravian another doubles point before falling in a tiebreaker, 9-8 (7-5) at third doubles.

Eady picked up the Hounds' lone point in singles action with a 6-3, 6-1 triumph at first singles.

Moravian is slated to return to action Monday, March 7 when the Blue and Grey play Regis (Mass.) College at the Lake Cane Tennis Center in a non-conference match beginning at 9:00 a.m.
