Eady Honored as Landmark Conference Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College senior Brittney Eady has been honored as the Landmark Conference Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.

Eady helped the Greyhounds open their 2016-17 season with a 9-0 victory at Arcadia University in non-conference action. Eady began the match with an 8-4 win at first doubles with senior Roberta Scantlebury, and then she posted a 6-0, 6-0 victory at first singles. The win in doubles was the 37th of Eady's career, moving into a tie for 10th in school history, and it was her 38th career singles triumph.

"Brittney played very well against an opponent who was a much better player than the score indicated," stated Head Coach Alan Heverly. "She showed her leadership with the team as their captain, and on the court in the doubles match and with her partner."

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, September 20 in a non-conference match versus DeSales University starting at 4:00 p.m. at Hoffman Courts in Bethlehem.
