Women's Tennis Drops Hard-Fought Match at Drew to Begin Landmark Conference Schedule

MADISON, N.J. --- The Moravian College women's tennis team dropped a hard-fought, 5-4 decision at Drew University Saturday to begin the 2017 Landmark Conference schedule.

The Greyhounds led 2-1 after the doubles action. The duo of freshmen Eiman Nazif and Lauren Steinert tied the match at 1-1 with an 8-6 win at second doubles while the tandem of senior Brittney Eady and junior Skylar Oliwa earned an 8-6 victory at first doubles for the lead.

Nazif was the first off of the court in singles action with a 6-1, 6-1 win at third singles while Eady followed with a 6-0, 6-1 triumph at first singles as the Greyhounds led 4-1. However, the Rangers would win the other four singles contests in straight sets to rally back.

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, April 8 in a Landmark Conference match at Juniata College beginning at 1:00 p.m.
