Women's Tennis Earns First Landmark Conference Win of 2017

HUNTINGDON, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's tennis team earned its first Landmark Conference win of the season with a 7-2 victory at Juniata College Saturday afternoon.

The Hounds led 2-1 after doubles action with the teams of freshmen Eiman Nazif and Lauren Steinert first off the court, winning 8-5 at second doubles and sophomore Kate Rennar and freshman Emily Snyder posting an 8-3 win at third doubles for a 2-0 lead.

Nazif started singles with a straight sets triumph at third singles for a 3-1 edge while senior Brittney Eady made it 4-1 with a two-set win at first singles. Junior Skylar Oliwa had the winning team point with a straight sets victory at second singles while Rennar and junior Grace Bailly also had straight sets wins at fifth and sixth singles.

The Greyhounds are slated to return to action on Sunday, April 9 in a Landmark Conference match at Susquehanna University beginning at 1:00 p.m.
