Women's Tennis Wins Second Straight Landmark Conference Contest with Sweep at Susquehanna

SELINSGROVE, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's tennis team won its second straight Landmark Conference match with a 9-0 sweep on the road at Susquehanna University Sunday afternoon.

The Greyhounds, who are now 6-5 overall and 2-1 in Landmark Conference play, took a 3-0 lead after the doubles action. Senior Brittney Eady and junior Skylar Oliwa posted an 8-2 win at first doubles as Eady moved into a tie for fifth in school history with 44 career doubles wins. Freshmen Eiman Nazif and Lauren Steinert earned an 8-4 victory at second doubles while sophomore Kate Rennar and freshman Emily Snyder finished doubles with an 8-4 triumph at third doubles.

Moravian went on to sweep the singles action with Eady, Nazif, Rennar and junior Grace Bailly all earning straight sets victories. Eady captured her win at first singles while Nazif won at third singles, Rennar at fifth singles and Bailly at sixth singles. Oliwa and Steinert each captured three-set victories Sunday with Oliwa winning at second singles and Steinert at fourth singles.

The Greyhounds are slated to return to action on Thursday, April 13 when the squad hosts rival Muhlenberg College in a non-conference match beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Hoffman Courts in Bethlehem. The contest was rescheduled from March 30 due to inclement weather on the original date.
