Nazif Selected as Landmark Conference Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College freshman Eiman Nazif has been named the Landmark Conference Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.

Nazif helped the Greyhounds, who are 7-5 overall, to a 5-4 non-conference win over rival Muhlenberg College in the team's only match last week. Nazif and freshman Lauren Steinert combined for an 8-5 win at first doubles, their first match of the season in the top spot, to give Moravian a 2-1 lead in the match. Nazif then picked up a win at second singles to extend the Hounds' lead to 3-1 in the victory.

"Eiman has been performing well the entire season," stated Head Coach Alan Heverly. "She is tied for most wins on the team this year and has been improving rapidly as the season progresses. She is also an excellent student, and she leads the team by example on and off the court."

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, April 19 in a Landmark Conference match at Elizabethtown College beginning at 4:00 p.m.
