Seven Hounds Selected to Landmark Conference Women's Tennis All-Decade Team

TOWSON, Md. --- The 2016-17 season marks the 10th year anniversary for the Landmark Conference. To help celebrate, the Landmark is featuring individuals that have stood out over the past 10 years.

Athletes that were named All-Conference First Team a minimum of two times, and/or were named Landmark Player of the Year, during their career were nominated automatically, and each team had the opportunity to nominate additional individuals for consideration. The All-Decade team was selected by the membership and is being announced prior to the conference championship.

Brittney Eady from the class of 2017, Jami Fein from the class of 2011, Melissa Follett from the class of 2015, Chelsea Ott from the class of 2013, Dyana Swan from the class of 2009, Erica Venuti from the class of 2014 and Katie Zien from the class of 2014 have been named to the Women's Tennis All-Decade Team.

Eady has earned First Team nods in 2014, 2015 and 2016. Prior to this season, she won 37 career singles matches, 36 dual matches, and 14 conference matches.

Fein was a two-time Player of the Year and earned First Team honors in 2009 and 2010. She helped guide the Greyhounds to a Landmark championship in 2009. Fein closed out her career with a 46-9 overall record, 38-7 in dual matches, and a 14-1 record in the Landmark.

Follett earned Landmark First Team Doubles with Venuti in 2013 and 2014. She won 26 career doubles matches, 20 dual doubles matchers, and won eight conference matches as a Greyhound.

Ott was a two-time Player of the Year and was named to the First Team in 2010, 2011, and 2012. She was also on the 2011 championships team. She posted 54-6 overall singles record, 46-3 dual matches, and was a perfect 17-0 in conference play.

Ott was also a three-time Landmark Doubles First Team selection. She paired with Zein in 2011 and 2012 and partnered with Anna Meola in 2010. Ott was back-to-back Player of the Year in 2011 and 2012. She won 37 career doubles matches, including a 15-2 record in the Landmark.

Swan and Fein were named to the First Team for Doubles in 2009. That season, the duo compiled a 14-5 overall record, including a conference record of 5-1. For her career, Swan won 21 doubles matches and 10 conference matches while Fein won 35 doubles matches and 12 conference matches.

Venuti earned Landmark First Team Doubles with Follett in 2013 and 2014. She won 44 career doubles matches, 38 dual doubles matchers, and won 18 conference matches as a Greyhound. She was also named to the Landmark Academic Honor Roll team every semester she was eligible.

Zien was selected to the Landmark Doubles Team with Ott in 2011 and 2012. She won 47 career doubles matches, including a 19-5 record in the Landmark. A three-time Academic Honor Roll selection, Zein was named the conference Women's Tennis Senior Scholar Athlete in 2014 and was named to the Landmark All-Sportsmanship Team that same year.

"As a coach I have seen a number of fine players in Landmark Conference women's matches," stated Head Coach Alan Heverly. "The caliber of play is high and the number of Moravian players afforded recognition is representative of the women's tennis program. The players named have been responsible the numerous conference championships won under Dawn Ketterman Benner. Their ability on the court speaks well for both our school and the Landmark Conference."
