Hounds Headed to Elizabethtown for Landmark Conference Semifinal Match on May 3

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's tennis team is set to return to the postseason after a two-year absence as the third seeded Greyhounds head to second seed Elizabethtown College for a Landmark Conference Semifinal on Wednesday, May 3 beginning at 4:00 p.m.

The Hounds, who are making their 22nd postseason appearance in the last 25 seasons, are 10-6 overall this year with a 5-2 mark during the Landmark Conference regular season. The Blue Jays earned a 6-3 victory when the two squads met in Elizabethtown on April 19 for their annual contest. Head Coach Alan Heverly has his first postseason squad in his second year at the head of the program.

Senior Brittney Eady leads Moravian with a 14-2 record at first singles, and Eady has become the ninth player in school history to reach 50 career singles wins with a career total of 51. Freshman Eiman Nazif is 14-3 at third singles in her debut season while junior Grace Bailly has a 7-4 mark at sixth singles.

Sophomore Kate Rennar has picked up seven singles victories while playing fifth singles. Freshman Lauren Steinert has five singles wins on the year at fourth singles while junior Skylar Oliwa has recorded four victories at second singles. Freshman Emily Snyder has also seen action at sixth singles with a 3-3 mark.

Eady and Oliwa have combined for a 10-2 slate at first doubles as Eady has moved into a tie for second in school history with 47 career doubles victories. Nazif and Steinert have a 10-6 mark at second doubles while Rennar and Snyder are 5-4 at third doubles.

The winner of Wednesday's semifinal match will advance to the 2017 Landmark Conference Championship contest on Saturday at the highest remaining seed with the conference champion earning an automatic berth to the 2017 NCAA Division III Tournament in May.
