TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College freshman Emma Angle has been named the Landmark Conference Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.

Angle helped Moravian open the 2018 Landmark Conference season with a pair of victories as she had an undefeated week at first singles and first doubles. The Greyhounds began the Landmark slate with a 7-2 win over Juniata College at Winning Touch Tennis Lehigh Valley on Saturday. She partnered with junior Kate Rennar for a win at first doubles before a straight sets victory at first singles. Angle then helped Moravian to a 9-0 win over Susquehanna as she and Rennar added another doubles triumph to open the match before Angle won in singles again.

"Emma played extremely well this weekend," noted Assistant Coach Mariana Freitas. "She faced some tough competition playing at #1 singles and #1 doubles, and she was able to earn wins on all of her singles and doubles matches. Emma is a very hard worker and her work ethic helps to set the tone for the team."

Moravian is slated to return to action on Saturday, April 14 in a Landmark Conference match at The University of Scranton beginning a 1:00 p.m.
