BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's tennis team posted a 7-2 victory over visiting Ursinus College in non-conference action at Hoffman Courts Thursday afternoon.

The Greyhounds, now 7-2 on the season, and Bears started the contest nearly 45 minutes late after rain earlier in the day and at the match's original starting time, but Moravian's facilities crew was able to get the courts dry enough to play. However, the singles contests were all shortened to prosets.

The Hounds won two of the three doubles contests to take a 2-1 lead. Sophomore Lauren Steinert and freshman Mary Angle were off the courts first with an 8-5 win at third doubles before the Bears tied the contest with a victory at first doubles. The tandem of freshmen Brooke Adams and Kristen Cassidy put Moravian in front with an 8-4 win at second doubles.

The Blue and Grey won five of the six singles matches for the victory. Steinert was first off the courts with an 8-1 win at fifth singles while Ursinus earned a win at second singles to cut the lead to 3-2. Senior Grace Bailly posted an 8-1 victory at sixth singles next before Emma Angle earned the winning team post with an 8-3 win at first singles. Mary Angle recorded an 8-4 triumph at fourth singles before Adams ended the match with an 8-6 victory at third singles.

Moravian is slated to return to action on Saturday, April 21 in a Landmark Conference match at The Catholic University of America beginning at 1:00 p.m. in Washington, D.C.
