TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College sophomore Lauren Steinert and freshmen Brooke Adams, Emma Angle and Kristen Cassidy have been selected to the 2018 Landmark Women's Tennis All-Conference Second Team.

The quartet helped the Greyhounds to an 11-3 record this season, and the squad as 6-1 in the Landmark Conference regular season to earn the second seed in the Landmark Conference Tournament. Angle and Steinert were selected to the All-Conference Team in singles while Adams and Cassidy were chosen as a doubles team.

Steinert posted a 9-1 singles mark this year with an 8-0 record at fifth singles and a 6-0 slate in Landmark Conference action. Steinert, who is 14-12 in singles action in her two seasons with Moravian, was 13-2 in doubles action this season including a 10-0 mark with freshman Mary Angle at third doubles.

"Lauren had a solid season and went undefeated in both singles and doubles play," stated assistant coach Mariana Freitas. "She felt more confident this year playing lower in the line-up. In addition, she dedicated more time and energy to the sport which showed in her performance on the court."

Angle was 7-8 in her debut season with a 7-7 mark at first singles and a 4-3 slate in Landmark Conference action. Angle pushed her first singles contest in the Landmark Conference Semifinals to a third set as the match ended up determining the winner. She also had a 6-9 record in doubles action in her first collegiate campaign.

"Emma plays at No. 1 singles and doubles, which is a big challenge considering she's only a freshman," noted Freitas. "She had a good season finishing with a winning record in conference. She's one of the hardest workers on our team and I have no doubts that next year she will be even stronger."

Adams and Cassidy were 7-3 at second doubles this season with a 4-3 mark in Landmark Conference contests. Adams also had an 11-5 record with a 9-3 slate at third singles while Cassidy was 6-6 at second singles and 6-7 overall.

"Brooke and Kristen work and communicate really well on the court," Freitas said. "They both understand the game of doubles. They both like to get up to the net and use different doubles formations which really makes it exciting to watch."
