Moravian Finishes Fall at 4-0 after Sweep of Marywood

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's tennis team completed the fall portion of its 2018-19 season with a 9-0 sweep of Marywood University in non-conference action on Hoffman Courts.

The Greyhounds, who finish the fall at 4-0 while dropping just one doubles set, led the Pacers 3-0 after doubles action with three 8-1 victories. Junior Lauren Steinert and sophomore Mary Angle were first off the courts with a win at second doubles while senior Kate Rennar and sophomore Brooke Adams won at third doubles. Junior Eiman Nazif and sophomore Emma Angle finished off the doubles sweep at first doubles.

The Hounds also won all six singles matches in straight sets with Rennar posting a 6-0, 6-0 win at sixth singles to start. Emma Angle earned a 6-1, 6-0 win at second singles while Adams recorded a 6-0, 6-0 victory at fifth singles. Mary Angle finished next with a 6-0, 6-0 triumph at third singles before Steinert earned a 6-1, 6-2 win at fourth singles. Nazif completed the match with a 6-2, 6-1 victory at first singles.

Moravian is scheduled to begin the 2019 spring portion of the season on Tuesday, March 19 in a non-conference contest at Albright College beginning at 4:00 p.m.
