UNION, N.J. --- The Moravian University women's tennis squad closed out its non-conference schedule with a 9-0 sweep at Ken's (N.J.) University Thursday afternoon.
How It Happened
- The Greyhounds swept the doubles action and dropped just four games in the three contests. Juniors Maddie Figiel and Cristina Merone posted an 8-0 victory at second doubles while sophomore Mara Stapleton and freshman Rose Lombardo registered an 8-1 triumph at third doubles. Senior Morgan Colver and junior Julianne Cassady earned an 8-3 win at first singles
- Colver finished up her second singles match first with a 6-0, 6-2 victory while Cassady garnered the fifth and winning team point with a 6-0, 6-2 win at first singles. Merone was next off the courts with a 6-0, 6-2 triumph at fourth singles while Figiel won by the same score at third singles. Sophomore Emily Masters posted a 6-3, 6-0 victory at sixth singles while Stapleton completed the sweep with a 6-3, 7-6 (7-1) win at fifth singles
