Seniors Julianne Cassady, Cristine Merone and Maddie Figiel were honored on Hoffman Courts before playing Goucher College on Senior Day.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's tennis squad swept visiting Goucher College, 9-0, Sunday afternoon at Hoffman Courts as the Greyhounds celebrated Senior Day with their first Landmark Conference victory of the 2023 season.
How It Happened
- The Greyhounds swept all three doubles matches to start the afternoon. The duo of junior Mara Stapleton and sophomore Rose Lombardo began the day with an 8-3 victory at third doubles while senior Julianne Cassady and freshman Izzy Szmodis made it 2-0 with an 8-5 triumph at first doubles. The tandem of seniors Maddie Figiel and Cristina Merone completed the doubles sweep with an 8-4 win at second doubles
- Szmodis was first off the courts in singles action with a 6-3, 6-2 victory at third singles while Figiel won 6-2, 6-3 at second singles to clinch the team win. Cassady posted a 1-6, 6-4, 6-3 triumph at first singles while Merone had a 6-0, 7-5 victory at fourth singles. Lombardo made it 8-0 with a 6-1, 6-0 win at sixth singles before Stapleton finished off the contest with a 6-1, 5-7, 10-7 triumph at fifth singles
- Prior to the start of the match, the Greyhounds honored the senior class of Cassady, Figiel and Merone
