Women's 4x400 Runs Season-Best at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's track & field team had six student-athletes compete on the opening day of the Penn Relays at historic Franklin Field with the 4x400-meter relay squad running a season-best time.

The 4x400 team of seniors Morgan Redmond and Brielle Sutter, junior Corinne Glass and freshman Casie Cronk finished third in the 4x400 Centennial/MAC race in a season-best and ECAC qualifying time of 4:01.69, the tenth-best time in school history. 

Sutter, Redmond and Glass teamed up with sophomore Lauren White to record a time of 49.71 in the 4x100-meter relay heats on Thursday. The quartet was eighth in its heat.

Freshman Ciara Stewart competed in the shot put Thursday as she posted an ECAC qualifying mark of 11.60 meters (38-0.75) in her first trip to the Penn Relays.

The Greyhounds will return to action with two more relay squads running at the Penn Relays on Friday, April 24 as well as having some throwers participating in the opening day of the Lehigh Games.
