WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. --- Junior Sarah Hughes won the 3,000-meter run to lead the Moravian College women's indoor track & field team at the Monmouth University Winter Collegiate Open Saturday.
Hughes captured the 3,000 meters in a time of 10:40.80 while senior Corinne Glass was fifth in the 400-meter dash in 1:00.37 and seventh in the 200-meter dash with an ECAC qualifying time of 26.45 seconds. Freshman Alyssa Limbaugh was sixth in the 5,000-meter run in 19:28.42.
Leading the women in the field events was sophomore Casie Cronk, who placed fifth in the high jump at an ECAC qualifying mark of 1.60 meters (5-3) while junior Kiara Bright finished third in the triple jump at 10.82 meters (35-6). Junior Maggie Heft finished eighth in the shot put with a toss of 9.90 meters (32-5.75).
The Greyhounds will have their final tune-up before the 2016 Landmark Conference Championships next Saturday with action at the Kutztown University Invitational on Saturday, February 20.
