BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's indoor track & field team is scheduled to open its 2017-18 campaign on Friday, December 1 at the Lehigh University at Rauch Fieldhouse with the meet starting at 5:30 p.m.

Seventh-year Head Coach Jesse Baumann looks to have the Greyhounds challenge for the 2018 Landmark Conference Indoor Championship in February at Susquehanna University after a runner-up finish in last year's meet. The second place snapped a string of nine straight Landmark Conference Indoor titles for the Hounds.

Moravian has 24 returnees including eight competitors that earned Landmark All-Conference honors a year ago. Leading that group is senior Casie Cronk, who returns to defend her title in the high jump. Senior Beth Ann Davies also looks to repeat as the Landmark Champion in the pole vault again this winter while senior Melissa Cheong aims to add another long jump title to her resume and challenge Cronk in the high jump after a runner-up finish last February.

Junior Amari Schooler will anchor the Greyhounds on the track as she looks to repeat as the winner of the 60-meter hurdles. Senior Carly Thorpe finished second in the triple jump and adds depth in the jumping events while Cronk, junior Anna Osman and sophomores Lily Cooper and Carly Danoski placed second in the 4x400-meter relay to earn All-Conference honors last year, and the quartet looks to challenge for a conference title.

A season preview video including interviews with BaumannSchooler and senior thrower Maggie Heft is below.
