Moravian Competes at Sam Howell Invitational Hosted by Princeton

PRINCETON, N.J. --- The Moravian College women's track & field squad had a small group of competitors at the Sam Howell Invitational at Princeton University Friday afternoon.

Sophomore Carly Danoski led the Hounds with a personal best time of 2:14.20 to place 12th in the 800-meter run. Danoski's time was just four hundredths of a second from tying the Greyhounds' school record set by Heidi Wolfsberger in 2001.

Senior Sarah Hughes was ninth in the 5,000-meter unseeded race in a time of 18:28.63 while sophomore Katie Mayer was 25th in the race in 19:51.56. Junior Jordan Luciano finished 21st in the 100-meter dash in 13.48 seconds, and she was tied for 24th in the long jump at 4.81 meters (15-9.5).

The Greyhounds are slated to return to action on Saturday, April 7 at the Muhlenberg College Invitational beginning at 10:00 a.m.
