Badman Wins 60-Meter Dash to Lead Greyhounds at Lehigh University Season Opener

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's indoor track & field team started the 2018-19 schedule at the non-scoring Lehigh University Season Opener Saturday at Rauch Fieldhouse.

The Greyhounds had one event with sophomore Aimee Badman capturing the 60-meter dash in 8.17 seconds. She was followed by senior Anna Osman in third at 8.38 seconds, senior Amari Schooler at fourth in 8.40 seconds, senior Jordan Luciano in fifth in 8.50 seconds, sophomore Camaryn Wheeler at sixth in 8.53 seconds, sophomore Tatiana Lopez in seventh at 8.60 seconds and sophomore Emily Renner at eighth in 8.69 seconds.

Schooler also finished sixth in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.61 seconds while Lopez was tenth in 9.89 seconds. Luciano took fourth in the 200-meter dash in 27.87 seconds while Badman was fifth in 28.02 seconds, and Wheeler was sixth in 28.23 seconds. Sophomore Morgan Weaver was ninth in the 400-meter dash in 1:05.19. Moravian's 4x400-meter relay squad of Osman, Weaver, sophomore Cat Cole and senior Shayne McNally was sixth in 4:26.83.

Sophomore Martha Thorpe was the runner-up in the long jump with a leap of 5.03 meters (16-6) while sophomore Jenevieve Eberly took seventh at 4.64 meters (15-2.75) and Lopez was eighth at 4.52 meters (14-10). Thorpe also finished fourth in the triple jump with a leap of 10.09 meters (33-1.25).

Junior Brooke Kusmider was fifth in the weight throw with a toss of 11.64 meters (38-2.25) while junior Brittney Blaise took seventh at 9.90 meters (32-5.75).

The Hounds are scheduled to reurn to Rauch Fieldhouse on Saturday, December 8 for the Lehigh University Fast Times Before Finals meet.
