Moravian Women Capture Seven Event Titles at Elizabethtown Early Bird Opener

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's outdoor track & field squad placed second of five teams at the Elizabethtown College Early Bird Opener Saturday as the Hounds started their 2021 campaign. The Greyhounds totaled 164 points while Susquehanna University took first with 170.5 points.

Event Winners

  • Senior Tatiana Lopez won the 100-meter hurdles in 16.62 seconds
  • Sophomore Helen Davis captured the 100-meter dash in 12.44 seconds
  • Sophomore Crystal Robinson won the 200-meter dash in 25.68 seconds, and she took first in the 400-meter dash in 1:01.03
  • Junior Alyssa Lambert captured the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:08.56
  • Senior Natalie Novotni won the 5,000-meter run with a time of 18:16.73
  • Freshman Lexi Groff captured the high jump at 1.57 meters (5-1.75) 

Top 8 Scoring Finishes

  • Senior Cat Cole was third in the 100-meter hurdles in 17.38 seconds while sophomore Elizabeth DeMassa took fourth in 18.63 seconds
  • Senior Tyleen Lopez placed fifth in the 100-meter dash in 13.21 seconds while graduate student Jordan Luciano took sixth in 13.39 seconds and Tatiana Lopez finished seventh in 13.50 seconds
  • Davis was the runner-up in the 200-meter dash in 26.22 seconds while Tatiana Lopez was fifth in 28.34 seconds and Renner finished eighth in 28.43 seconds
  • Senior Emily Renner placed fourth in the 400-meter dash in 1:08.45
  • Junior Natalie Stabilito was the runner-up in the 800-meter run in 2:21.78 while sophomore Rachel Byrne took fourth in 2:27.27
  • Junior Emma Marion was eighth in the 5,000-meter run in 19:56.20
  • Freshman Kinsey Metzger was the runner-up in the discus with a toss of 32.62 meters (107-0)
  • Tyleen Lopez finished as the runner-up in the pole vault at 2.29 meters (7-6) while junior Athena Chaikalis was third at 2.14 meters (7-0.25)
  • Luciano was the runner-up in the long jump with a leap of 5.05 meters (16-7) while Tyleen Lopez finished seventh at 4.72 meters (15-6) and sophomore Haylee Saylor was eighth at 4.70 meters (15-5)
  • DeMassa took sixth in the triple jump with a distance of 9.61 meters (31-6.5) while Saylor finished seventh at 9.35 meters (30-8.25)
  • Sophomore Delaney Wiseman was fifth in the javelin with a distance of 29.71 meters (97-6)
