BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's indoor track & field squad hosted the Moravian Indoor Meet at Lehigh University's Rauch Field House Saturday in the first action of 2024 and captured one event title.
Moravian Event Winners
- Junior Abby Giamoni won the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:00.61
Moravian Top 10 Finishers
- Sophomore Tara Smurla was the runner-up in the 5,000-meter run to begin the meet with an All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference qualifying time of 18:26.93. Sophomore Meghan Myers took eighth in the race in 19:28.91
- Giamoni also finished fourth in the 200-meter dash in 26.72 seconds
- Freshman Alyssa Hockenberry was fifth in the 3,000-meter run in 11:13.99 while freshman Alexis Hockenberry was seventh in a time of 11:14.42
- Sophomore Ali Haefele took sixth in the triple jump with a distance of 10.43 meters (34-2.75), and she was ninth in the long jump with a leap of 4.85 meters (15-11)
- Junior Mikayla Woodring placed seventh in the shot put with a toss of 10.34 meters (33-11.25)
- Junior Caillie Fish finished seventh in the 20-pound weight throw with a distance of 13.38 meters (43-10.75) while junior Liz Miskovsky was ninth at 13.23 meters (43-5)
- Senior Lexi Groff and graduate student Jocelynn Itterly tied for seventh in the high jump with both clearing a height of 1.50 meters (4-11)
- Freshman Rachele Grigoli was ninth in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:04.36
- Sophomore Elena Bocchetti took ninth in the 800-meter run in 2:31.31
- Junior Bella DeMassa finished tenth in the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 10.19 seconds
