Moravian Women Earn One AARTFC Qualifying Mark at Penn State Tune Up

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's indoor track & field squad earned one All-Atlantic Region Track & Field qualifier at the Penn State University Tune Up Friday. 

Moravian Top 10 Finishers

  • Junior Abby Giamoni was the runner up in the 60-meter dash finals in 8.08 seconds, the same time she ran while winning her heat in the preliminaries. Sophomore Shai Knight took fifth in the finals in a personal best time of 8.46 seconds after running 8.52 seconds in the prelims
  • Giamoni also placed fourth in the 200-meter dash with an AARTFC qualifying and indoor PR time of 25.75 seconds
  • Junior Bella DeMassa finished fourth in the 60-meter hurdle finals in a personal best time of 10.15 seconds while sophomore Makenna Mersch was sixth in 10.95 seconds
  • Sophomore Ali Haefele placed fifth in the long jump with a PR leap of 5.19 meters (17-0.5) while sophomore Caroline Melillo took seventh at 4.59 meters (15-0.75)
  • Junior Caillie Fish was sixth in the 20-pound weight throw with a PR distance of 14.16 meters (46-5.5) on her third throw of the meet while junior Liz Miskovsky took eighth with a toss of 12.91 meters (42-4.25)
  • Knight was also ninth in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:04.01 while junior Ashley Rodrigues finished tenth in 1:11.60
