Volleyball Improves to 5-0 After Victory Over St. Mary's

The Moravian College women's volleyball team opened the 2011 Buttermaker Tournament at Muhlenberg College with a 25-14, 26-24, 11-25, 25-19 victory over St. Mary's College of Maryland. With the win, the Greyhounds improved to 5-0 for the first time since a 7-0 start to the 2003 season.

Junior right side hitter Samantha Savite led Moravian with 11 kills while junior outside hitter JeanAnne Carey, had eight kills, 12 digs and three service aces. Senior middle blocker Katie Moquete contributed eight kills and two blocks while freshman outside hitter Kellianne Comitalo added 18 digs and seven kills.

Sophomore middle blocker Brittany O'Hara also had seven kills while junior libero Jesse Krasley led the Greyhounds with 21 digs to go with three assists. Senior defensive specialist Ashley Schmidt added ten digs while sophomore setter Kelly Brown had three kills and a team high 30 assists in the match.
