Greyhounds Match Best Start Since 2003 at 7-0

The Moravian College women's volleyball team tied the best start in school history at 7-0 with a 25-18, 18-25, 25-12, 25-18 win over Messiah College in the squad's opening match on the second day of the Buttermaker Tournament over at Muhlenberg College. The Greyhounds' 7-0 start matches the 2003 squad.

Senior middle blocker Katie Moquete, pictured, led the squad with 12 kills and two blocks while junior right side hitter Samantha Savite had ten kills and three blocks. Junior outside hitter JeanAnne Carey contributed eight kills, eight digs and two service aces for Moravian while sophomore middle blocker Brittany O'Hara had five kills and a team high four blocks.

Sophomore setter Kelly Brown paced the Greyhounds' offense with 36 assists to go with six digs and four kills while junior libero Jesse Krasley had a team high 19 digs. Senior defensive specialist Ashley Schmidt had eight digs while freshman outside hitter Kellianne Comitalo had four kills and eight digs.
