Mary Zacher '18 selected as Landmark Conference Women's Volleyball Athlete of the Week.

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College senior outside hitter Mary Zacher has been selected as the Landmark Conference Women's Volleyball Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.

Zacher helped the Hounds to a 3-2 record last week including a 3-1 slate with a pair of five-set victories at the Neumann University Knights Invitational where she was named to the All-Tournament Team. Zacher contributed 76 kills, 62 digs, six service aces, three assists and a block while playing in all 19 sets last week as she averaged 4.0 kills and 3.26 digs per set with a .237 hitting percentage. Zacher is eighth all-time at Moravian with 1,156 kills and 1,290 digs, and she is just 29 attack attempts away from the most in school history.

"Mary was instrumental in our 3-1 gutsy performance this weekend," noted Head Coach Shelley Bauder. "She performed at a high level not only at the net, but in serve receive and defense as well. All-Tournament honors were well deserved this weekend and I'm very pleased she was recognized by the conference for her stellar performance."

Moravian will return to action on Tuesday, September 19 in a non-conference match at Farmingdale State (N.Y.) College beginning at 7:00 p.m.
