Mary Zacher '18 honored as Landmark Conference Women's Volleyball Athlete of the Week.

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College senior outside hitter Mary Zacher has been honored as the Landmark Conference Women's Volleyball Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.

Zacher, who earned her second Landmark Conference honor of the fall, helped the Greyhounds to a 2-1 record last week including a 1-1 mark in the opening Landmark Conference weekend of the season. She recorded 51 kills, an average of 4.63 per set, in 118 attempts for a .280 hitting percentage over 11 sets, and Zacher added 26 digs, five blocks and five assists during the week. She had a team-high 24 kills and hit .467 as the Hounds opened the Landmark Conference schedule with a 3-1 win at Elizabethtown College.

"Mary had the pedal to the metal this week," exclaimed Head Coach Shelley Bauder. "She knew this first conference weekend was crucial and worked her tail off to dominate in our match against the Blue Jays. The staff as well as her teammates are very proud of her."

Moravian is slated to return to action on Friday, October 5 in a non-conference match at Texas Lutheran University beginning at 6:00 p.m. CDT.
